(To make things easier, let’s assume we will be recording “Snow White” to DVD)
· Turn on the TV, the top DVD/VCR player, and the bottom DVD/VCR player
· Put the VHS (or DVD) in the top unit. This is the source, and has content on it it’s the media that you want to record. In our example, you would stick the “Snow White” VHS in the top unit.
· Put a blank DVD+R in the bottom unit. It will autoformat.
· Use the “bottom” remote, and hit the “input” button until you see Line 1. The input button is located near the top of the remote control.
· With the “bottom” remote, hit the “rec” button. It takes 2-3 seconds to start recording. On the top unit itself, press the “play” button.
· When the video is done, hit the “stop” button on the “bottom” remote. It may take awhile to write the information to disk.
· You still need to “finalize” the disk. To do this, on the “bottom” remote, hit the “system menu” button. Arrow down to “Disk setting” and then hit “enter”. Arrow to “disk finalize”, hit “enter”, OK, then “enter” again. It will take some time to finalize the disk. After you finalize, no more changes can be made to the disk.
***Optional***
Right before finalizing, you can name the title, which is generally a good idea. To do this, press the “System Menu” button from the “bottom” remote. Arrow to “Title List”and press “enter”. Hit “enter” again to change the title name. Type in your title “Snow White”, and then arrow to “Finish” and then hit “enter”.
*** Please keep in mind that if the “Snow White” video is 90 minutes, it will take 90 minutes to make the recording.
